The Rest and Restore Retreat is the perfect short stay escape for guests feeling stressed, burned out and needing quiet time out for themselves. We offer 2-night/3 day as well as 4-night/5 day retreats offering the perfect opportunity to disconnect from a hectic, technology driven life, and to find inner calmness, self care and self nurture in order to recharge your batteries. Guests leave feeling rested, re-set and restored - ready to flourish once again.
We also offer short full day visit (arrive anytime from 10am onwards until 5pm. The longer you stay with us, the more removed you become from the rest of the world that you've left behind which just disappears, and the more rested and restored you feel when you return to your life fully charged.
You will feel entirely at home and at ease in our restful rooms. With various styles and sizes available for guests travelling either solo, as a couple, with a companion or a small group of friends, our comfy accommodation is your haven to Rest and Restore.
Our River View Retreat
This luxurious century-old boutique guesthouse on the verdant banks of the Yarra River is set on 12 green rolling acres, just outside of Warburton (the healing epicentre of Victoria).
The air feels different there, it’s clean and fresh. The river runs clear and crisp. The mountains cocoon the property and encourage you to slow down, breathe and relax. There is something for everyone.
Retreat offers a number of private ensuite rooms with a comfy king size beds with heating and cooling.

Experience ‘Forest Bathing’
As we are located within a natural bush setting you will find your own space to slow down and breathe. One of our daily activities you will experience is a concept called Forest ‘Bathing’ or shinrin-yoku, the art of engaging all the senses in your surroundings for a deeply restorative retreat. There is something amazing about slowing down. You will cease be rushing, be more present, looking, touching, tasting and breathing in the forests around you.
From a medical point of view, three hours of Forest Therapy will have an impact for the next 30 days. Forests have the amazing ability to calm ourselves down and its benefits are proven. Studies have shown that nature connectedness through a forest experience can reduce levels of cortisol – a chemical indicator of stress levels in our bodies. It can also help our levels of concentration on complex tasks. It can temporarily reduce blood pressure levels, slow our pulse rate and much more!
Spending time in nature calms our nervous system, improves our attention and helps us generally feel more positive.
