Soph

Embodied Movement Facilitator

Meet Soph, founder of Pohss Studio and your movement guide for the Rest & Restore Retreat — a passionate facilitator dedicated to helping people reconnect to themselves through movement, music, nature, and embodied expression.

With a lifelong love of dance, creativity, and human connection, Soph’s work was born from her own personal journey of using movement as a tool for mental wellbeing, emotional release, and self-discovery. After years working within the fashion industry, she found herself seeking a deeper connection beyond the external world and discovered that free movement and dance became a powerful gateway out of the busy mind and back into the body. Practising outdoors in nature became an essential part of this healing process and inspired the foundations of her work today.

Over the past five years, Soph has guided movement experiences across schools, community spaces, retreats, women’s circles, and immersive dance events. Her experience is rooted in lived practice, alongside exploration within somatic movement, intuitive dance, embodiment work, and conscious facilitation. Soph’s approach is grounded, welcoming, and accessible — creating spaces where people feel safe to move, express, release, and reconnect in their own way.

At the Rest & Restore Retreat, Soph’s sessions invite you to meet yourself on the dance floor exactly as you are. Beginning with gentle grounding practices, breath, and guided movement indoors, the experience gradually builds into freer expression through music before transitioning outdoors into nature. Dancing amongst fresh air, open skies, and natural elements creates a deeply restorative experience that encourages presence, play, and connection.

Soph believes movement is not about performance, but about reconnecting to the body’s innate wisdom and allowing joy to become part of the healing process. Her sessions support participants to release tension, shift emotional energy, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the part of themselves that feels free, expressive, and alive.

Whether through stillness, soft movement, laughter, or full-body expression, Soph hopes each participant leaves feeling more grounded, restored, and connected to the joy within themselves.
