Julia

Our Myotherapist

Special interests: Neck & Jaw Pain, Headaches, Women’s Health.

Julia has always been fascinated by the human body, it's quiet intelligence, its resilience, and its innate capacity to heal. This curiosity lead her to studying across the world including Clinical Myotherapy in Australia. Along the way, Julia developed a deep understanding of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and more importantly how our physical, emotional and mental selves are deeply connected.

What Julia has come to believe is that your body is on your side. Even when it’s tense, in pain, or shutting down, it’s not failing you. It’s trying to protect you, trying trying to speak to you. Julia’s deeply curious about physical discomfort and what’s trying to communicate. When we pause and listen to the body’s story, we can begin to understand why certain areas feel tight, sore, or depleted.

During a treatment with Julia we can explore why tension shows up where it does, and how you can support your body in a way that feels sustainable and kind, including rest, softness and safety. You may begin to notice where you’re holding, gripping, or bracing…and where you can begin to let go.

Julia’s treatments are guided by touch and deep listening to your body’s needs. Her aim is to help create space for awareness to return to your body and to have you leaving the treatment feeling restored, nurtured and reconnected to your body and soul. She may use an array of modalities like soft tissue massage, cupping, dry needling, joint mobilisations, muscle energy techniques and more - but this will always be in communication with you and only if you feel comfortable with any of these techniques.

Ultimately, you are the expert of your body. You already carry the wisdom you need. Julia is simply here to support your unfolding. Beneath all the tension lies a regulated, peaceful nervous system. We don’t need to push or fix or force. We just need to do less. Less thinking. Less reacting. More allowing.
